I've been a fan of Rich Hil since I first heard him HERE. He just recently released the mixtape "Limos Were Cool In The 90's" with DJ Don Cannon. Check the interview:
Who is Rich Hil?
I'm me... try to be the best at what i do... that's being a hippie.
How would you describe your music and what sets you apart from the rest of the music industry?
The industry is big on materialistic music instead of making music from the heart. I think that's the only difference. I like the blues a lot.
What is the story behind the "Limos Movement?"
A lot of stories behind the Limo Movement. Basically we're making fun of the "limo" lifestyle, where it's supposed to be glamorous and exceptional but really the people that live the lifestyle are strung out, sad, and lonely.
How did you link up with Sickamore & The Famous Firm?
I met up with Sickamore in late 2006 and he's definitely family now. The Famous Firm is the foundation that's in the matrix where we take over the world. Can't say anymore.
Hippies in the 60s vs Hippies in 2009: what's better?
Way different in the way of the world and fashion and whatnot but a hippie is the state of heart, mind, and soul. 60's or 09 doesn't matter.
What's one of the most memorable studio sessions you've had to date?
This chick fell asleep on the couch and we drew with sharpies all over her face and a condom on her lips. She was drunk and we dipped after that.
The best weed is in what city?
LA has the best Kush but New York has the best Sour Diesel. It's a tough one because I like haze a lot but I'm satisfied in Cali.
What projects are you working on now? When can we expect a full length Rich Hil album?
Me and Mike Waxx of Illroots who's also from CT are putting out LimoPrint before Christmas. Then Limosa Nostra (mixtape) in 2010 followed by my album The Black Limo.
Describe the perfect female:
The one that loves me for ME. Other than that I like tall pretty face girls.
What is your personal philosophy on life?
If we don't know how or when we will die, lets do what pleases us now.
