This past Saturday, I went to a spot I've been to once or twice called Burger Bistro with my cousins Bianca & Tephany. Being that they were visiting from out of the country, I had to introduce them to what food critics have called one of the best burgers restaurants in NYC. We went to the Park Slope, Brooklyn location & discovered that in 2009, it was the second restaurant that the franchise (owned by John Agnello and Vincent Dardanello) has opened.
At Burger Bistro, you "build" your burger & sides by checking off what you want on a laminated menu with a red color pencil. Bianca ordered a chicken burger on a roll with mozzarella cheese, lettuce & honey BBQ sauce with a side of fries. Tephany ordered a kobe beef burger on a brioche roll with blue cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomatoes & a side of sweet potato fries. I ordered a beef burger on a whole wheat roll with American cheese, chopped bacon, & a side of sweet potato fries.
As for drinks, we all ordered the Saturday special: $5 white & red sangrias. My cousins' were speechless for about 10 minutes before finally declaring;
"The Burgers were on Point!!!"They told me the next time they come back to the U.S., they will surely return to Burger Bistro. As for myself, I'll be back sooner than later.
