What's playing before Santa comes by on Xmas???
So we are in December and in the midst of the holiday season and being in a mixed ethnicity household music is always a HUGE discussion. What music are u listening to???
Everyone knows the "traditional" (LAME) holiday music. If you are in a household where that is your family tradition GREAT! nothing wrong with that at least you have a tradition. You are probably listening to "Jingle Bells", "Rudolph The Reindeer", "Frosty The Snowman" ...right???
If you are in the African-American house you may be listening to the Jackson 5 "I Saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus" or Run DMC "Christmas in Hollis" ..... maybe, but there is no solidified tradition as far as music goes. Some folks even go all Jazz instrumentals for the holidays.
BUT..... if you are in a Hispanic home there are a plethera of songs that are tailor made for Christmas partying. Completed by an environment like no other, liquor flowing and dancing like Jesus for sure is coming back!! They celebrate the holidays with flare. Songs like, El Gran Combo "A Comer Pasteles A Comer Lechon" & Hector Lavoe "Aires De Navidad" keep the night going as long as the electric company will permit.
WHAT HOLIDAY MUSIC PUMPS IN YOUR HOUSE?? https://t.co/Dxwy2QZZVy— BIGGS (@BiggsPMF) December 6, 2015
